“Life is what you make of it,” “Happiness is not by chance, but by choice,” “We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails”—yes, these sentiments are cliché. Yet, January really is a time of year when your mindset matters. It might be cold and dark, with the glow of Christmas festivities growing smaller as they become a distant memory, but a small shift in perspective can transform this month from one of gloom to one of potential. Rather than getting bogged down by the winter blues, we’re trying—as much as possible—to embrace the new year with optimism, looking ahead with excitement and focusing on the opportunities that 2025 may bring.
So, in the spirit of optimism, some of the brandformula team have reflected on what they are most looking forward to in 2025…
Lily Herring - Head of Experiential
“In January, I'm excited to travel to Australia to spend time with family. When I return, it will be all systems go as we kick off planning for BIBA and Airmic, two key events on our calendar. I'm also looking forward to adding the final touches to everything related to AMRAE, ensuring it's all set for success. The start of the year will be a great opportunity to see the Experiential team take on new challenges and demonstrate their creativity and innovation. I'm eager to see how the team grows and thrives with these new opportunities in January!”
Elliot Krieger - Head of Digital
“I’m eager to see how digital content continues to evolve into a more authentic and transparent space for users. The era of impersonal, scattergun mass marketing is behind us – it’s refreshing to witness the shift towards personalised and genuine content crafted by brands, fuelled by their engaged and growing communities. I’m also particularly excited about the continued rise of micro and nano influencers across B2B marketing platforms. Their ability to cultivate meaningful engagement with niche audiences makes them incredibly effective for precision-driven marketing strategies. This stands in stark contrast to overt celebrity endorsements, which can often come across as disingenuous and fail to resonate. Oh and Glastonbury…I can't wait for my fourth Glastonbury. Fingers crossed that Oasis might fancy it down at Worthy Farm!!”
James Deagon - Head of Client Services
“In 2025 I'm most looking forward to working with clients to push the envelope for what good looks like in the insurance industry. Having been here just a month I've already seen some great clients who are doing interesting things - and I'm keen to tell those stories to the broader market. B2B marketing is constantly evolving and I want to ensure that we're not just keeping up - but leading the way. On a personal note - I'm also looking forward to completing the next stage of my WSET Level 2 in Wine and hoping to tick off a couple of new countries travelling”.
