The festivities are in full swing here at brandformula! Over the past two weeks, we challenged the team to put their best taste buds forward, to crown the ultimate high street winner of our favourite festive treats.

We selected food from the most popular stores, with the likes of Tesco, Lidl, Waitrose, M&S and many more making the line up, but their identities were not revealed until the very end!

Most loved mince pies

First up was the battle of the mince pies. Some fairly divided opinions, and some quite certain as to which was which. Some sour, some dry, some too crumbly and others too hard, it was a tough decision but the results are in...

Out on top we have Iceland! The underdog won on taste, pastry and filling. Sadly, they weren't as attractive to look at as Lidl's or Waitrose's. We won't name and shame the loser, but you could say it was one of the more high-end brands!

Next, we took it sweeter with another traditional dessert - yule logs! A variety once again, most certainly in appearance. You'd assume the gold ones have it, right?

We'll you're not wrong - out on top was one of the prettiest of all.... ‍

Morrisons! Once again, not our expected winner with the likes of M&S and Tesco Finest also coming under scrutiny.
